Medial Shoulder Syndrome, Why is it Becoming so Common?

In the Clean Run Learning Center

Earn 3 RACE-Approved CE Credits

Why is Medial Shoulder Syndrome (MSS) becoming so common, and how should we treat it?

Historically, Medial Shoulder Syndrome was considered to be a rare condition in agility dogs; however, over the past few years, the incidence of MSS has rapidly increased. It is important to evaluate a dog for MSS so it does not turn into a lifelong problem that can cause recurrent front limb lameness. (Other causes: trauma, home incidents, abusive exercises, conditioning activities, etc.).

In this webinar, we take a deep dive into all things MSS, starting by looking at related conformation problems. Did you know that dogs that turn their front feet out are highly predisposed to developing MSS? We go on to look at diagnosis (specific gait analysis, what you are looking for during an orthopedic exam, tests) and then what? And much, much more!

Whether you are just starting in agility or other performance dog sports, or have a special what you specific do performance dogs, this webinar has it all! 1-to-1% of education, early awareness, early identification, treatment,...

Iliopsoas Strains Webinar Plus in the Clean Run Learning Center

Earn 1 RACE-Approved CE Credit

Canine iliopsoas strains are considered to be an overuse injury. While any dog can have an iliopsoas, sprinters, gymnasts, athletes who perform repetitive, extreme movements, and jumping are common! Very active dogs, and those that are physically demanding, are highly susceptible to iliopsoas strains and other injuries.

Our canine athletes who are required to sprint as well as perform high-intensity jumping or tight turning at maximum speed are prone to this! This is why iliopsoas strains are identified so often in performance dogs.
